Soya Pulao

Soya Pulao

The goodness of vegetables coming together with the nutrition of soya togive you a wholesome lunch meal. Soya Pulao with Advans Soya chunks.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Rice  (Soaked)
  • 1 Cup  Advans Soya chunks  (boiled and squeezed)
  • 2-3 Cup Curd (thick) – 2-3 Tbsp Curd  (thick)
  • Healthy & Tasty Soyabean oil as required
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala
  • ½ Cup Mint leaves
  • ¼ Cup Coriander leaves
  • 1-2 Green Chillies
  • 1 Ginger
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2-3 Brown Cardamoms
  • 1 Star anise
  • 4 Green cardamoms
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 Small Strand mace  (Javitri)
  • ¼ tbsp Cumin seeds
  • Few Peppercorns
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat refined Healthy & Tasty Soyabean oil in a pan and fry cooked Advans Soya chunks till light golden brown. Keep aside
  • Heat oil in cooker. Add bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stick, star anise, javitri, 1 green cardamom, onion. Saute’ till onion turns light golden brown
  • Add soaked rice, salt, water. Let it cook for 10mins. The rice should be half cooked. Keep aside
  • Heat oil in a separate pan. Add onion, green chilli, 2 cloves, 2 green cardamoms, 2 brown cardamoms, 1 cinnamon stick, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder.
  • Add Advans Soya chunks and fry for 2 mins on medium flame. Add salt
  • Add curd, mint leaves and fry for 2 more mins
  • When it becomes thick, add the half-cooked rice and mix evenly
  • In a separate pan, fry 1 green cardamom, 1 brown cardamom, black pepper, 1 clove on high flame till nice aroma comes out. Grind it and sprinkle the mixture on the Biryani.
  • Cook in slow flame with closed lid (steam cooking)
  • Nurti Soya Biryani is ready to serve with gravy of choice of vegetable raita
